Hitex International Expands Operations In North America
Hitex International Group, a leading global provider of road safety markings and surfacing solutions, is announcing the launch of Hitex North America at the American Traffic Safety Services Association’s 47th Annual Convention and Traffic Expo which takes place in Phoenix, Arizona between 12-14 February. Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, Hitex North America will provide customers throughout the USA and Canada with innovative, high quality products including preformed markings, high friction surfacing materials, road crack and joint repair systems and decorative road surfacing materials.
According to Hitex Traffic Safety: “Hitex North America will provide customers across the USA and Canada with easy access to Hitex’s full product range. In addition, by offering the highest level of technical support, we aim to provide a real alternative to traditional suppliers in these key markets.”
One of the key products to be launched into this new market is the HiFlex Preformed range of thermoplastic markings. Quick and easy to install, HiFlex Preformed offers precision cut road markings, letters, symbols, numbers and logos, and attained the highest wear level classification of P7 (> 2 million wheel roll-overs) during test certification on the BASt wear simulator in Germany. The formulation ensures surface applied glass beads remain suspended throughout the heating process for maximum retroreflectivity and higher road safety attributes.
Hitex North America is also offering the new Puma range of modified MMA (Methyl Methacrylate) high friction surfacing and road marking materials. Fast and easy to apply, it allows contractors to control the curing process to suit the available workforce, speeding up highway works and reducing traffic congestion.
“Hitex is committed to prioritising the safety and well-being of all highway users with ongoing programs to develop innovative and cost effective road safety and surfacing solutions that deliver consistently high levels of quality and performance,” added Hitex.
With dedicated, in-house research and development facilities, Hitex is focused on developing products that offer market-leading levels of durability and safety performance. The company has also made significant investments into developing more sustainable materials and processes to meet the changing and growing challenges of global transport infrastructures.
