Marwell Zoo Installs Interactive Digital Signage From Eclipse
Marwell Zoo has installed a new interactive digital signage system that provides visitors with a navigational and informative tool that replaces traditional paper maps. Designed and supplied by Eclipse Digital Media, one of the UK’s leading specialist providers of end-to-end digital signage solutions, the system will enable the zoo to engage and communicate more effectively with park visitors all year round.
According to Becky Glenister, Event Manager at Marwell Zoo: “Eclipse Digital Media has brought a whole new dimension to how we communicate with and provide information to our visitors. The end result has exceeded our expectations and the interactive digital map is not only aesthetically pleasing, informative and simple for all age groups to use, but is also quick and easy for our in-house marketing team to update.”
The new interactive wayfinding solution was developed by Eclipse Digital Media and allows visitors to explore and navigate the park using the touchscreen to discover and view key information about different animal sections. They can also find out more about upcoming events, how to become a member and general information on all facilities including where to eat and shop.
The weatherproof Samsung touchscreen displays were provided by Eclipse Digital’s DooH partner Harp Visual, the UK’s leading provider of dynamic digital signage systems. They are IP rated with laminated glass front panels making them both scratch and vandal resistant. With a display resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, the capacitive touchscreens deliver HD quality content and are controlled through a ONELAN digital signage content management network. Each screen has been built into a stylish timber framework to blend into the park surroundings, provided by outdoor furniture specialists, Fitzpatrick Woolmer.
