Purpose Software Automates Toner Request Process

Purpose Software, the UK’s leading supplier of service management software to document and print management solution providers, has announced the latest addition to the 2serv series of add-on modules with the immediate availability of a new Toner Integration application. This new module further automates the onsite toner replenishment process and enhances the attainment of customer SLAs. 

The new Toner Integration Module works in conjunction with Capture-IT, Purpose Software’s automated meter reading collection application, to streamline the process of replacing toner cartridges in print devices located at customer premises. It links the notification emails, automatically generated by print devices monitored by Capture-IT when toner is required or replaced, to log and close toner requests on 2serv without requiring manual intervention.

The system also records the meter reading and date when the new cartridge is fitted enabling the yield achieved to be compared against expected parameters. Should any toners not achieving acceptable yield, it is highlighted for review.

Where spare stock is held on customer sites, orders are automatically raised when predetermined levels are reached to ensure that optimum onsite stock levels are maintained. For other customers, orders for replacement toner cartridges are automatically raised, processed and despatched to meet individual SLAs.
